Starting in iPadOS 14, changes to the way sites track media like images and videos may cause content not to load in Canvas. Enable cross-site tracking as a temporary workaround. Follow the directions below.

Step-by-step Guide

Open Settings and scroll down on the left hand column to Canvas. 

Enable "Allow Cross-Website Tracking"

Restart the iPad.
