Overview

Lightspeed Relay is the district's web content filter designed to keep all technology users safe on the internet.

Sometimes the Relay iPad app unintentionally prevents web sites or app from loading. Follow the troubleshooting steps below to fix issues when they occur.

Step-by-step Guide

Restart the iPad.

Clear the Safari cache. Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data.

Tap on the Relay app to open it. Check to see that the app is registered to Shakopee Public Schools and the expected username@shakopeeschools.org is displayed.

Note: If a username (e.g. 12345@shakopeeschools.org) other than your own is displayed please open a help desk ticket. It's possible your iPad's web traffic will be logged as belonging to another person.

It may take up to 5 minutes for iOS to refresh its proxy cache and be able to connect to sites again. In most cases it will take about 30 seconds.

If you're still not able to connect then please open a help desk ticket for further assistant.
