Lightspeed Relay is the Internet content filtering system used by the district.  It was officially deployed on August 12, 2019.

This system replaces Securly.  As a result, we will no longer need to login to Securly through Google.


Any new filter takes some time to get dialed in and make sure the system is blocking or allowing the right things at the right time. We do significant testing internally to make sure everything's working as intended, but it's difficult to account for every scenario in our schools.


If you run into any issues with the new filter - unable to access a web page, apps not working, inappropriate content, etc. - please let us know ASAP by opening a help desk ticket ( or calling 952-496-5100. The technology department will get back to you as soon as we can. If you have any other questions or concerns please let us know.



Q. Do I need to be signed into Google to use Relay?

A. No, you are no longer required to sign in to any account or portal to be filtered.


Q. When is my internet connection filtered?

A. Relay is an always on filter. No matter where you are, in or out of the district, the filter is on.


Q. Will principals and other administrators have access to reports?

A. Yes, but not immediately. We are still working out the details and expect reports to be ready by start of school.
