Each student will need to create an Autodesk ID on the Autodesk Education Community - With this Autodesk ID they can log into Fusion 360 and activate their free education license.

Please be sure you do not register a personal use account as trial licenses will expire more quickly.

In some cases an existing account will have its Fusion 360 license expire or require additional verification before obtaining a license.

Students will have to open a support case with Autodesk for help -

Instructional Technology Services can also open a case on their behalf, or they can register a new account with a different email address.

Step-by-step Guide

All students must first register an account with Autodesk by going to

Select Create Account.

Fill out education benefits like below. Select Next.

Create an account with your email address. Select Create Account.

Verify your email at the address you entered. 

Fill out school information. Graduation year can be set past actual year as that will be used for licensed validity period.

Now browse back to Sign in if you haven't already and select Get Access.

Install Fusion 360 from Self Service if you haven't already. Open the app and sign in.
